The Center for the Development of Mathematics and Sciences - CDMC, was created by FGV in 2017 with the purpose of identifying, in the country's public schools, young talents with special ability to learn Mathematics in order to offer them the possibility of carrying out studies in undergraduate and graduate courses at Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro.
In recent years, the Talent Selection project has identified students from public schools with excellent performance in the Brazilian Public School Mathematics Olympiad.
Students are invited to take the entrance exam at the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro in an initiation course offered by the institution: Applied Mathematics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Economic Sciences, Administration, Social Sciences, Law and Digital Communication.
Since the launch of the project, in 2017, hundreds of candidates from different states have participated in the entrance exam and were approved in one of these FGV admission courses. These are students who stand out among the Foundation’s student body for their extreme learning capacity and show themselves as new talents for the future of the country.
