Foreign candidates

The course has a specific selection process for foreign applicants. To participate, the applicant must have a foreign nationality or be a Brazilian citizen with dual nationality and have completed the last four years of compulsory education in institutions located outside Brazil. The selection is composed of the analysis of documents, such as academic transcript, English proficiency certificates, letters of recommendation, and motivation letter, with the aim of assessing the academic performance and socio-cultural profile of the applicant, who may also be summoned in person or online to provide clarification on the information contained in the documentation submitted.  The best-evaluated applicants in academic performance and sociocultural profile will be selected for Phase Two (Oral Examination), which will be held in Portuguese, in person, in the city of Sao Paulo.

Double Degree

Our Double Degree Program allows FGV Sao Paulo Law School students to also obtain a diploma in business administration or public administration from the FGV Sao Paulo School of Business Administration or in economics from the FGV Sao Paulo School of Economics, without needing to do another university entrance exam (although they have to go through an internal selection process), receiving two degrees in less time. If a law student opts for the Double Degree Program in the seventh semester, for example, he or she can complete both degrees in approximately seven and a half years.

We know that choosing a profession is probably one of the first major decisions you will make in life. Therefore, FGV wants to help you know a little more about your future career.

Working with law does not mean having a contemplative stance on the set of laws that organize life in society, but use the knowledge of them to contribute to the development of society itself.
