About the program

The new Double Degree Program in Law and Business Administration is an optimized combination of two undergraduate courses, enabling both to be completed in six years.

The coordinated provision of these two courses was planned together by Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School and Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP), taking into account overlapping competencies, skills and content. The law and business administration courses interact with one another, but without losing sight of the specific features of each area.

Accordingly, the first eight (8) semesters of the double degree program are dedicated full-time to in-depth study of the foundations and principles of the two areas. During this period, students acquire knowledge and develop essential skills through subjects that use different methods and teaching dynamics, while also intensely experiencing other aspects of university life, such as engagement in student organizations, junior companies, vacation internships and study and research groups, among many other activities.

In the last four (4) semesters, the classes are concentrated in the morning, allowing the academic training to be complemented by internships and exchange programs run by the schools, enhancing readiness for professional practice.

Why choose this program?

In an increasingly competitive job market, an education in two strategic areas of knowledge is a very distinctive advantage for students. They can obtain two degrees in a shorter period of time and at a more affordable cost than if done separately. The program combines the teaching methods of two of Brazil’s most respected law and business schools.

Research and knowledge

The FGV Sao Paulo Law School and EAESP together have more than 20 study and research centers, which generate hundreds of academic papers every year, making a link between applied research and practice as a source of knowledge.

Excellent teaching and attention paid to individuals

In the Double Degree Program in Law and Business Administration, students have access to teaching staff composed predominantly of full-time professors, ensuring a strong commitment to teaching and intellectual qualification.

Links between the two schools also allow individualized attention to students regarding monitoring of courses, access to extracurricular activities and preparation for the job market.

Student organizations

Students can take part in initiatives to boost their development outside the classroom. These extracurricular activities are opportunities for personal and professional growth, including projects for professionals who are starting out on their career.

Professional guidance

FGV’s schools are constantly concerned about the future professional careers of their students and graduates. We therefore have a state-of-the-art team to help them as they enter the job market.

This is done through the dissemination of selected internship vacancies at government organizations, law firms of all sizes, financial institutions and other types of companies. In addition, the career centers at both schools carry out individual professional guidance strategies, including counseling sessions, resume reviews and mock interviews, and they offer a regular schedule of career-related events.

Double diploma (EAESP)

Through an internal selection process, students can spend a few semesters in the United States, France, Italy or Germany, at one of FGV EAESP’s partner institutions. Successful candidates can choose between the universities below, studying for the indicated periods and obtaining a diploma from both institutions when they graduate.
