Why choose the Social Sciences course?

The FGV CPDOC School of Social Sciences originates from the Center for Research and Documentation of Contemporary History of Brazil (CPDOC), an important research center focused on Social Sciences and History, created in 1973.

One of the pioneering institutions in maintaining private archives of public figures, whose records tell the political, economic, social and cultural history of Brazil, besides the trajectory of the country's international relations. It is also a forerunner in the democratization of access to the content of its historical collection, which can be consulted free of charge via the internet.

The School has undergraduate, master's and doctoral courses in professional and academic categories, having the 1st largest IGC in Brazil, considering all Educational Institutions in the country.
